That's what they're all about, and they give me courage that it can be done! :)Melodyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08846251713093236356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468546013884694910.post-58349326962947640122010-06-26T00:38:05.990-04:002010-06-26T00:38:05.990-04:00Hey, this sounds like a convo I had with a friend ...Hey, this sounds like a convo I had with a friend several days ago. I remember reading my first dystopians in high school - they really got to me. It does help us to envision a better future.Jemi Fraserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02214408467456320167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468546013884694910.post-5191430102086915112010-06-25T17:51:28.366-04:002010-06-25T17:51:28.366-04:00Like Susan, I'm also afraid of failing. They have to deal with the consequences, but doesn't let the failure brings them down. The WHOLE WORLD is against this character, and yet they still triumph, saving the world, or themselves, or their family. Even if they end up having to sacrifice themselves, they are still triumphant over the grand obstacle, whatever that may be.Susan Kaye Quinnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07348197999397141067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468546013884694910.post-40302939719017354462010-06-25T12:50:55.332-04:002010-06-25T12:50:55.332-04:00Dystopian usually cements how discouraged I get wi...Dystopian usually cements how discouraged I get with humanity as a society, but I tend to get so caught up in what's happening to the characters that I don't think about the society and how close our own is to self-destruction until after I'm done reading.Tere Kirklandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13562750950130316280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468546013884694910.post-42287672113220211292010-06-25T06:55:58.881-04:002010-06-25T06:55:58.881-04:00I fear being alone.
