Yes, it is ...Mike, thank you so much for this post. Yes, it is shocking what's going on in our world. But hopefully for readers to deal with it in an entertaining way, it will effect change. It's why I love books with strong protagonists, teens who aren't afraid to stand up for themselves.Lissa Pricehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05593449441602936914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468546013884694910.post-71235695030261512672012-04-09T17:41:10.866-04:002012-04-09T17:41:10.866-04:00I had no idea of the stats though I know it's ...I had no idea of the stats though I know it's hard for our kids and us to find jobs. I worry for my daughter. I want her life to be better than mine and I would like to be able to retire someday.

I loved Lissa's book. Neither party in the U.S. seems capable of addressing these issues in any meaningful way. Any ideas?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705584247681883936noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5468546013884694910.post-47787724131529906352012-04-09T11:58:34.519-04:002012-04-09T11:58:34.519-04:00That is scary. It seems like our future is going to be an amalgam of all these different fictional (for now) places and worlds.

I think anyone who's tried to enter the job force in the last 5-7 years is feeling exactly what you describe. I know I am. A college degree hasn't helped me at all. I'm in more debt trying to pay for a pretty useless degree than I'm making at my crappy job. But prospects are still pretty slim, and there's still at least 4 applicants for every available job. We're setting ourselves up for these futures if we don't do something now.lexcadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18094072290983267178noreply@blogger.com
